Alex has lost his story. And his mind. So he’s going back to find them. Any way he can.
A Rossendale origin story, Alex is digging back to his roots – quite literally – to explore how we can rewrite our futures by reclaiming our pasts.
Told using drag, poetry, theatre, music, and movement, this is a show like no other. An LGBTQ story of reclamation, In The Beginning is about the power of connection and communication, and how we all have the strength to start over.

A very long time ago there were no dogs – there were wolves, but we didn’t like themand they didn’t like us. But then along came Ugg ‘n’ Ogg to pal up with the wolves, invent our best friend and save us all from a life of doglessness! Join our two intrepid Yorkshire hunter-gatherers as they pal up with their mortal enemies, the wolves and despite flying meat bones, sabre-tooth tigers, time-travelling sticks and forest infernos, finally get to pat the world’s first Dogg.

DRINK + MAKE – VALENTINES’ CRAFT SPECIAL!
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with our special Drink + Make session. We will have lots of different Valentine’s Day crafts for you to take part in, you could help decorate our bar for the occasion or make your own Valentine’s Day card.
Alternatively you can bring along your own crafting project!
Drink + Make is Free and there is no need to book.
Drink + Make runs Bi-Monthly on the second Friday of the month. Drink and Draw runs on the alternative month.
CRAFTERNOON – BUILD A JUNGLE!
This half term we will be building a paper jungle in our Boo Cafe! come along and join us to build the flora and fauna and transform our cafe into a jungle! There will also be an opportunity to create some of the wildlife that live in the jungle and on Wednesday we will be making Lion masks before for our half term family show – Charmane!

We will be making your very own models and creating stop motion animations using our Paper Jungle as a backdrop.
Families are required to bring their own tablet or smart phone and be willing to download free app ‘Stickbot Studio’ or similar to take part in the workshop.
