The HORSE + BAMBOO PUPPET FESTIVAL 2008

A great festival for children and the whole family. Held at The Boo in Waterfoot on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2008.

SATURDAY 7th JUNE

1.00pm MAIN THEATRE (45 minutes):
STUFF AND NONSENSE THEATRE
LITTLE RED HEN

This classic tale is told using beautiful puppets, syncopated story-telling and enchanting music. No scary bits - but lots of laughter! AGES 3+

STEADFAST TIN SOLDIER

A playful retelling of Hans Christian Anderson's poetic story using light and simple objects that are transformed to create a theatrical experience that will engage and touch young hearts and minds.AGES 3+

This spectacular comedy adventure from Oscar-winning director Daniel Greaves will delight all. Ages 6+

TALE TRADERS

A magical and lively family show. Frank and Daphne perform tales from their market stall of stories, using puppetry, music and songs to animate stories from around the world. Satellite Arts have performed their work on BBC TV and radio. AGES 3+

GEORGE AND THE DRAGON

This award-winning production is a delicious mixture of wit, humour and inventiveness. It celebrates one of the great medieval legends - with rod and glove puppets, masks and music. AGE 5+

A back to back showing of 7 different short films for younger viewers specially chosen for us by the British Animation Awards. AGE 3+

APPLE PIP

A visually stunning puppet show telling the story of Pip in the apple orchard. Using storytelling, puppets, music and songs to join in with. AGE 3+
