Horse + Bamboo's distinctive style of visual theatre, but in miniature! For 2006 we created a NEW show for young audiences - 'Storm in a Teacup'.
Storm in a Teacup
An imaginative tale of a nervous lighthousekeeper and a squawking seabird who are transformed by a heroic rescue at sea. Utterly enchanting and totally engaging - suitable for the very young and the young at heart.
The show has been written, designed, made and directed by Alison Duddle, Associate Director of Horse + Bamboo Theatre, with help from Bob Frith, the Artistic Director.
THE pPod The pPod can seat 35 people, and will offer two performances an hour - with 6 shows each day. The structure is designed to be used either indoors or out of doors and is ideally suited for festivals, parks, and other public spaces.
The space
The tented space of the pPod evokes the world of traveling theatres and sideshows, although it is totally original and contemporary in design. It has seating for about 35, and functions as the venue for short, intimate, performances. The pPod is available for hire.
The pPod is 7.5m long x 6.0m wide x 3.6m high (interior 6.0m x 4.0m x 3.0m).
