Created by H+B, Baby Boo is a project designed to engage with parents and very young children all around Rossendale.
Through Baby Boo we try to create spaces and situations where parents and their babies and toddlers can have fun together, play, hear stories, and explore the world around them.
We create exciting story installations at our theatre, the Boo – sensory journeys for young families to experience together – Springtime, Babies in Space and Babies in Bloom have used puppetry, lights, projections, live music, a rocket, a restaurant, inflatable plants, soup, sand and lots and lots of sensory play to create immersive theatre experiences.
We have also created a series of small shows which are performed in non-theatre spaces across the Rossendale valley – at nurseries, libraries, parent and child groups and village halls. Round and Round, Babies in Space (little version), Pom, and Midnight and Anna have all toured around Rossendale for parents and babies to enjoy together in places that they already visit, and which are close to their homes.
