Friday Nights at The Boo

Horse+Bamboo’s Bar is open every Friday 6pm til 11pm.
A wide selection of gins, draft beer & non-alcoholic drinks available.
Supervised children are welcome – Dogs & well-behaved owners are welcome.
Events at The Boo are priced as “Pay What You Can”.
This means that you can donate any amount for your ticket, or you can attend the event for free.
We put recommended ticket prices against our ticketed events.  You can choose to donate during the online booking process or we have donation buckets around the building when you attend any event, and you can choose to donate after watching a performance if you wish.
All your ticket donations help us to keep all of our events accessible and affordable to everyone.

CLAY & GIN NIGHT with MAKE! CERAMICS

Join Make! Ceramics for a relaxing and fun three night workshop creating special pieces out of clay.
We’ll learn pottery techniques and get creative with special underglazes to create pieces you’ll treasure in your home!  The Boo’s Gin Bar will be open too for you to enjoy a beverage while you create for the perfect weekend wind-down.

You will create three pottery items on the workshop and each piece created on the course will be glazed, fired and returned. Absolutely no previous experience is needed. The sessions need to be booked in a three week block as some projects will carry over to the next week.

The workshop costs £45 in total, including all materials and studio fees.

SCOTT SADLER ‘THE SKETCHING POSTMAN’ EXHIBITION LAUNCH | ROSSENDALE ART TRAIL

Newchurch-based artist, Scott Sadler has lived in Rossendale for 17 years.  His ink & watercolour sketches depict buildings, houses and familiar views from across Rossendale and Manchester.

The Sketching Postman exhibit will feature a selection of watercolour paintings and drawings of Manchester scenes, as well as sketches inspired by Scott’s daily post rounds throughout Rossendale.

Vincent Vee is an artist, painter, sculpturer, Fashion photographer and filmmaker, based in Rossendale.
.
His ‘Pop Iconic’ series of acrylic paintings features portraits of recognisable faces including Freddie Mercury, Prince & Amy Winehouse.

Manchester musician, Liam Frost, is back with a special one-off gig at The Boo!

Described by Elbow’s Guy Garvey as “the UK’s answer to Bright Eyes.’

Liam Frost has released three critically acclaimed solo albums and played with Ray Davies, The Decemberists and Willy Mason.

Support from Joan the Wad, making their welcome return to The Boo with their soulful indie folk music.

Christmas Wreath Making with Potted!

Join us for an evening of wreath making!

Wreaths made at The Boo will include mixed festive greens and some traditional natural decorations, such as dried oranges.  A straw based ring and twine will minimise the use of wire (just for fruit.)

Potted’s wreaths consider the impact on the environment and minimise non biodegradable items.  We don’t use plastic decorations, instead opting for fragrant and attractive natural ones.

Welcome drink included and nibbles included in the price.
