Film Club Presents…Sorry We Missed You (15)

Ken Loach and screenwriter Paul Laverty have come storming back with their latest film ‘Sorry we Missed You’ Like their previous movie. ‘I, Daniel Blake’, Sorry We Missed You, depicts the human cost of an economic development that we are encouraged to accept as a fact of life. The story follows Ricky, a former construction worker, and his wife, struggling to raise a family and hoping that self employment through gig economy can solve their financial woes. They end up trapped in the vicious circle of this modern-day labour exploitation.
