Moonsmile
Goofus Theatre and Yan Tan Tethera bring you a brand new family-friendly show.
Friendship can be anywhere!
Our story starts with a lonely museum Caretaker, who loses something quite dear to him. In his quest to retrieve what was lost, he finds himself on the moon where he meets the strange but loveable Moonlings. Through a ritual of trust and friendship, the Moonlings help the Caretaker restore what was lost to him. Taking this gift back to Earth, the Caretaker rediscovers all that was hidden!
Blending music with movement, puppetry, play, and mask this nonverbal performance will immerse audiences in storytelling, creating a space for imagination to thrive.

When Another Dragon Roars
Mum and Alfie are going camping – to get away from everything. To have some quality time together.
Alfie finds it hard to talk about his feelings. His Mum does too. They share stories about Dragons! Scary ones, sulky ones, even angry ones – and they discover that their emotions, just like Dragons, are tricky beasts. Sometimes they need to be tamed, and sometimes, they need to be released.
When Another Dragon Roars Fuses Altered Scale Theatre’s outstanding puppetry with Petite Ullaloom’s distinctive storytelling, promising a memorable experience for children and adults alike.
It’s a story of a mum and boy learning emotional resilience and how stories help us figure out a complicated world.
“It taught me about breathing when you feel a Dragon inside.” Young Audience member
“Fantastic theatrical experience for both adults and children. Moving, sad and uplifting.” Adult Audience Member

Alfie’s First Fight
Award-winning Children’s Author, Oliver Sykes, brings his smash-hit family show to Horse + Bamboo following a 2022 sell-out national tour.
With phenomenal critical acclaim and high praise from some of the biggest names in boxing, Oliver is fast establishing himself as one of the most exciting rising stars in Children’s Theatre and Literature.
Inspired by his own experiences growing up without a mum and being coached as an amateur boxer by his dad, Alfie’s First Fight centres itself around shy twelve-year-old Alfie, as he decides to go in search of his missing older brother, Jacob, when he disappears moments before an all-important boxing match…
On the surface, it’s a simple adventure story. Think Crime-Thriller meets Rocky Balboa! But it’s also about love, loss, family and learning how to fight for what you want.
